Butterfly

Crochet Butterfly

I use a standing stitch to start each Round. But you can use chains if you prefer (1ch for sc and 3ch for dc).

Yarn: Small amounts of 4 different colours (3 for the wings and 1 for the body).

Picot: after doing the chains slip stitch into the stitch before the chain.

Wings:

Each round is started on the same side in a different colour (no turning).

Body:

Join with slip stitch to bottom sc. Chain about 12 to 13 stitches. Until its long enough to go all the way around. Join to 1st slip stitch.  Use the tails to sew the body in place, leaving the ends at the top one on each side. Tie the 2 tails together (making the head). Cut the tails about the length of the wings (antennas).

I folded the butterfly's in half and hang them from a cocktail stick.
