Basic Warm Socks

I have just finished these in time for summer! Going to have to wait until next winter to use them!

This pattern can be used to make socks of any size using whichever wool and needle combination you like. 
You start at the toe and increase until you have the desired width. Then you keep working in rounds until it's the right length. Add the heel and again keep going until it's as high as you like. You only need to count stitches and rounds for the second sock (just to make sure they are identical!). The only difference between the right and left sock is half a round on the leg.

Blocking 3. Blankets

  Now there are lots of ways to block blankets.
  Lots of people like to pin them to towels and lay them out to dry. I tried this with the 1st blankets I done, but I didn't like it. I found that the towels didn't stay flat, so the blankets didn't stay in shape. It also took them forever to dry as one side now had a wet towel stuck to it!
  So I decide to try something else. I prefer the use of a collapsible washing line and a load of pegs. This way the blanket stays in shape. It also means that it has air on all side so it drys faster. And as mine is easy to move I can move the whole thing in and out of the sun/wind.

Knitted Flower Blanket

This is the very first blanket I ever made!

This blanket is knitted out from the center. The pattern is for a square blanket, but once you start the petals, every second round is just knit. So once you get the right width, it's easy to work in rows. Just change the knit rows to purl.
