Mesh Bag

This mesh bag is very handy. As it rolls up small it is ideal to use on trips that require a bag in only one direction, like the supermarket. It is also large enough to be used for anything.

Daffodil

I decide to try my hand at crochet flowers, particularly daffodils. I search for (and tried) a few different patterns, but none of them look right to me.
So I decide to design my own pattern. After lots of tries I came up with this pattern.

This pattern is made in two parts and sewn together afterwards.

Pink Daisy Baby Blanket

This pattern is written in 3 parts: The Granny squares, Joining and the border.

V-Stitch scarf

This scarf is pretty, easy and fast. It only took me 2 evenings (while watching TV!).

It is basically all V-Stitches!

Make the starting chain as long as you would like the width of your scarf to be. Keep in mind should be a multiple of 3 + 2 (3 per V-Stitch and 1 each end for turning).

Blocking 4. Small 3D bells and tubes.

The easiest way to block 3D objects is to stretch them over something the perfect size and shape. Now if you are lucky enough to have something at hand perfect use it, but if you don't it's time the get creative!!
When I was making my bells I couldn't think of anything (well nothing that worked!) so I decide that they looked good without blocking!! But when I was making my daffodils I needed to block the trumpets. No way around not blocking!!
So after many ideas, tries and searches around the house I finally came up with this idea. It's simple and requieres no new objects!!

Wavy Blanket

I made this blanket full size. As the pattern has lots of puff stitches it is very warm! I really enjoyed having over my legs on cold evenings while I was making it!
This pattern has 3 parts the body (the waves), the border prepare and then the shell border.

Blocking 3. Blankets

Now there are lots of ways to block blankets.
Lots of people like to pin them to towels and lay them out to dry. I tried this with the 1st blankets I done, but I didn't like it. I found that the towels didn't stay flat, so the blankets didn't stay in shape. It also took them forever to dry as one side now had a wet towel stuck to it!
So I decide to try something else. I prefer the use of a collapsible washing line and a load of pegs. This way the blanket stays in shape. It also means that it has air on all side so it drys faster. And as mine is easy to move I can move the whole thing in and out of the sun/wind.
